Mural Project- Day Nine

 It is getting down to the finish line! About 50 hours of painting so far. This past Saturday I got lots more detail and texture done! Excuse my funny patched up compilations again. Next time, what it really needs is clean-up and touch up. Yay for making a fun reading room for the kids!! Any critiques/advice is welcome!

Hawaii Frogs- Sketch of the Day

I just did a quick sketch here in my art classroom to make an example for my art students for a sketchbook assignment. If you want to view my art teaching blog it is  here. I just started it out this year, and it is fun to try to get students involved! I showed the influence of kermit the frog in my frog character, but I also have many other influences in my characters such as Garfield and Ren and Stimpy.

Pre-School Free-Sketches

I had the honor of subbing pre-school yesterday, and was able to get some free sketch out of it as well! I love gesture drawing, getting the quick gist of it and adding a splash of color. It was quite an exciting day, as you can see!

Mural Project- Day Eight

Thank you to Jennifer Addington for providing pictures. Last weekend I worked away at finishing all of the textures on the hill side background and cleaning up edges on the fence. I still need to work on some horse detail, but its coming along! Hoping to be finished in a couple more days of working on it!

Mural Project- Day Seven

This is the progress I made last weekend on the Miraliste Library Mural, I created another pieced together panorama so you can get the idea. I added more details on the ocean side, its hard to see from the picture, but I added texture with a sponge on the coral and outlined the creatures and filled in most of the details, I still have more details like spots on the starfish. I still have some edge clean-up to do as well but I think it is coming along! Next weekend I will focus onto getting more detail into the hill side.
